👉 Information about the material oak wood

Oak is known for its durability and resistance to external influences such as weather and moisture, and is considered a highly valuable and decorative native wood. All of our oak doorbell plates are specially selected and meet the highest quality standards (1A). This means a harmonious, light grain and virtually no knots. Each wooden plate is carefully handcrafted, with beveled edges and a cable cutout on the back providing practical details. As oak is a natural product, variations in color, grain, engraving brightness, and engraving depth may occur. Oak wood contains tannic acid, which can leach out upon contact with iron or alkalis. Therefore, when mounting the plate, please ensure that only rustproof screws or nails are used.

👉 Care instructions

The sign is treated with a hard wax oil, giving it a slightly matte sheen. To preserve the beautiful color and grain of the oak, regular maintenance with wood oil or wood preservative is recommended. This will help ensure that your doorbell sign remains in good condition for many years, even outdoors.

Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel to ensure proper connection and compliance with applicable safety standards. Two recessed mounting points on the back of the sign allow for easy and concealed installation.
